CU Business Group and Quilo Launch Partnership for AI-Enhanced Fast Track Lending Platform
AI-powered solution
combines intelligent automation and traditional underwriting to help credit
unions accelerate small business lending decisions
(Portland, Ore. – August 27, 2026) – CU Business
Group (CUBG) and Quilo Solutions have announced a partnership to bring
AI-enhanced speed and intelligence to CUBG's Fast Track Small Loan Program. The new platform combines advanced artificial
intelligence capabilities with established underwriting standards to help
credit unions improve efficiency, automate decision making, and deliver a
faster, more modern lending experience for small business members.
Over the past nine months, the two
organizations have worked together to develop and refine the platform, which is
now in the final stages of testing. CUBG plans to begin pilot implementations
with interested credit unions in the coming months, providing an opportunity
for participating institutions to help shape the future of AI-enabled small
business lending.
The enhanced Fast Track platform is designed to
address one of the industry's greatest challenges: efficiently underwriting
smaller business loans while maintaining sound credit standards. By leveraging
AI alongside traditional underwriting metrics, the solution helps streamline
data collection, improve workflow efficiency, and support smarter lending
decisions without sacrificing transparency or control.
“This partnership is about more than
technology,” said Justin Conrey, President and CEO of CU Business Group. “It’s
the first step in enhanced technology to help credit unions move faster while
managing risk and delivering the modern lending experience small business
members now expect.
Credit union expectations have changed and so
have the expectations of the small business members they serve. This
collaboration helps us deliver a technology option that can help credit unions
elevate the member experience and meet today's market demands.”
This Fast Track platform enhancement reflects
CUBG's ongoing commitment to evaluating innovative technologies that can help
credit unions operate more efficiently and better serve their members.
"The opportunity is not just AI,"
said Boris Fuzayloff, Co-Founder and CEO of Quilo. "The opportunity is
trusted AI — defensible, explainable, and built for regulated lending. AI
cannot be a black box. It must be a glass box."
The new platform is designed to provide credit
unions with greater flexibility in how they incorporate automation into their
lending processes, as well as flexibility to choose their method of analysis
and credit parameters. Institutions can leverage AI-assisted functionality
while maintaining oversight of credit decisions and lending policies, creating
a balanced approach that enhances efficiency while preserving sound
underwriting practices.
"We are excited about this significant
milestone and look forward to introducing the platform to interested credit
unions in the near future," said Conrey. "By combining CUBG's lending
expertise with Quilo's innovative technology, we believe we can help credit
unions better compete, grow their business lending programs, and serve small
business members more effectively."
